Torquil has scored this new feature from Bafta nominated writer/director Virginia Gilbert. The film has now secured UK and Ireland distribution with Signature Entertainment, and will premiere at the Dublin International Film Festival in late February.
Starring Jared Harris, Juliet Stevenson and Erin Doherty, Reawakening is a quietly tense mystery thriller. Torquil has written an emotional chamber score for piano and strings which was recorded at Air-Edel London.
Sabic Inspire Conference

Working together with GP Strategies and global leading chemical company Sabic, Torquil is creating inspirational music branding themes for a truly unique conference focussing on female leadership, taking place in Saudi Arabia in March.

Torquil is delighted to appear onscreen in this new biopic of wartime poet Siegfried Sassoon, from acclaimed director Terence Davies. Following a difficult Covid-plagued shoot in 2021, this is a triumphant return to form for Davies, starring Jack Lowden and Peter Capaldi.

Once again working with director Ben Caplan, Torquil has scored this new adaptation of the classic story by W.W. Jacobs. The film is supported by Hammer Films, and was screened in London in May 2022 – more info here and score excerpts can now be found on the soundcloud page.

Stummer Schrei Festival Postponed Until Summer 2021

Torquil was due to compose the music this year for the play Jedermann at Stumm, in the Tyrol. All plans are going ahead for summer 2021. Torquil met with director Beda Percht in Salzburg in February.
